Through its grant program, The100 Club RVA supports Richmond area law enforcement, firefighter, and emergency medical service professionals and their families.
The 100 Club provides financial support to first responders and their families when a responder is injured or killed in the line of duty, The Club also sponsors education events and funds equipment vital to the safety and well-being of our area first responders.
In 2021, The 100 Club provided over $4,000 in funding to assist with the funeral expenses of a fallen Chesterfield County Firefighter.
The Club also awarded a $30,0000 grant to the Richmond Ambulance Authority to assist with the purchase of safety vests for its first responder employees.
Additionally, the Club allocated $7,000 to serve as a Platinum sponsor at the Retail Merchants 31st Annual Valor Awards. The Valor Awards recognize First Responders that go above and beyond the call of duty. The awards ceremony also serves to honor our entire First Responder community.
This year’s Valor Awards recognized 42 honorees from both 2020 and 2021. The honorees represent First Responders from Chesterfield County Fire & EMS, Chesterfield County Police Department, Goochland County Fire & Rescue, Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, Henrico County Police Division, Richmond Ambulance Authority, Richmond Fire and Emergency Services, VCU Health, VCU Police Department and Virginia State Police.
We are so grateful to the area First Responders that help keep our community safe and to all of The 100 Club RVA members that allow us to show our support these men and women.
Thank you First Responders!
